There's life in the flow.

Nile is an eCommerce delivery solutions firm, with sights on fulfilling last-mile package deliveries in informal settlements within Southeast Asia.We aim to not only empower the Bottom Billion with eCommerce access, but equip local businesses to be the flag-bearers for this change through our innovative solution.

More than 500 million people in Southeast Asia do not have a formal, physical address. Globally, this figure is estimated at between one to four billion individuals. With the proliferation of informal housing and the lack of regulation around it, obtaining a formal address to receive deliveries in these areas are already difficult.

an address.

This cuts them off from eCommerce and its benefits.

This cuts them off from e-commerce and its benefits, such as reduced costs, increased variety and access to niche and specialized products. The tragedy is that these Bottom-of-Pyramid Populations who stand to reap the greatest benefit of e-commerce cannot do so, precisely because they have no address.

Nile exists to address this problem.

Nile allows those without a formal address to receive deliveries at the nearest location available to them. These locations are often small businesses in the community that are easily accessible by delivery personnel.
Nile's solution allows small businesses and home owners with formal addresses to rent out their address. Nile's customers utilize these addresses as their delivery points for their online orders, giving them access to e-commerce.

Nile's technologies allow users without addresses to receive deliveries.

Nile's technologies add value to the whole community and ecosystem.

In doing so, Nile's technologies bring about benefits for both consumers and small businesses. Buyers are able to receive their deliveries in a secure, trustworthy manner, with multiple checks and balances to ensure deliveries are not tampered with. Business owners benefit from increased foot traffic to businesses, resulting in greater revenues. Entrepreneurs are able to procure new assets and resources to grow their businesses in a cost effective manner.

By creating low-cost access to a wider diversity of goods, solving the bottleneck of distribution, Nile aims to empowering individuals, entrepreneurs and communities to break free of the poverty cycle within one generation. Leveraging the power of technology, together, Nile will both reduce the cost of living for those on the edge of poverty, while also creating financially sustainable means for micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses to move forward in the digital economy. This will result in increased incomes, which will translate to more investment in education, healthcare and enterprise for the BoP demographic, giving them a shot at dramatically improving their quality of life.
